My philosophy wholly and completely believes that all foods can fit in our everyday diet. There are no true exceptions and starvation is out of the question! My tenet is firmly rooted in the belief that eating healthy should be enjoyable and mindful, rather than time consuming, draconian in attitude or a challenging mess of counting calories! I am a Greater Detroit Area Registered Dietitian (RD), Certified Diabetes Educator(CDE) with 20+ years of work experience in evidence based medical nutrition therapy. My expertise is individual diet counseling in weight loss, nutritionally managing medical conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol and in other health conditions that pertain to diet and nutrition.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and good nutrition is a high priority for me. I am committed to staying fit by being mindful with my eating choices and being physically active for small intervals throughout the day. I plan my meals for the week and mostly stay within the plan while being flexible with my menu to accommodate my two teenagers and their pick on what they prefer to eat. I enjoy making quick healthy meals for my family. I do emphasize on quick since I don’t have too much time in the kitchen.
I believe that I have to walk the path I preach first. Enabling others to follow my advice comes thereafter. For many years now, I have invited my friends and family to seek my advice and counsel when it comes to food challenges. I have guided them successfully in reaching their goals and relished in their victories. Today, I want to extend the same invitation to you and your loved ones.
